【Australian Olympic Connect “TOMODACHI 2021” Programme Update】
第４学年が参加している、オーストラリアの学校とオリンピック開催国 日本の学校をconnectする（つなぐ）オンライン交流プログラム「オーストラリア・オリンピック・コネクト・ともだち2021」（AOCオーストラリア・オリンピック委員会主催）について、交流相手校Cleveland District State High Schoolの10年生（高１生）とクロームブックでインターネット会議システムBlackboard Collaborate Ultraに接続しリアルタイムのオンライン交流を実施しました。
Our 1st-year students of Senior Secondary connected with Cleveland District State High School Year 10 via a web conferencing tool, Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, using their Chromebook.
Cleveland District State High School生徒は本校生徒に日本語、本校生はCleveland District State High School生徒に英語と、それぞれの学習外国語を用い、アイスブレーキングとして「日常生活の過ごし方」から始まり「東京オリンピックに寄せる思い」「新型コロナウィルス感染症パンデミックが東京オリンピックにもたらしたモノ」「東京オリンピックで楽しみにしている競技・種目」等のトピックについて約１時間、会話を楽しみました。両校共に、ICT利活用教育を推進しているからこそ、生徒がこのような機会に恵まれた、そう思う所です。
Using their learning language, CDSHS’s Y10:Japanese as a Foreign Language, our Y10:English as a Foreign Language, we did an hour conversation and talking on ‘Favourite leisure’, ‘Thoughts about the Olympics and impact of COVID-19’, and ‘What Olympic sport they are looking forward to seeing’. This was exceedingly exciting and we are extremely fortunate to have EdTech and resources to take advantage of the experience.
このプログラムを通じ両校の生徒は、各々の「コミュニケーションへの意欲」「グローバル・マインド」に触れる機会を持つことができました。この交流により、生徒の外国語学習がより実践的になり、グローバル・コミュニケーションの楽しみを深めました。
Through AOC “TOMODACHI 2021” Programme, we could have opportunities to showcase and touch their willingness to communicate and global mindset.
The interactions got their foreign language learning genuine, deepened the enjoyment of global communication.
東京オリンピックは７月２３日に正式開会となりますので、「オーストラリア・オリンピック・コネクト・ともだち2021」としてのCleveland District State High Schoolとの交流は節目を迎えます。しかし、このプログラムを通じCleveland District State High Schoolと深い絆で繋がることができ（connectすることでき）、両校のグローバル交流は今後も続くものと信じてやみません。
The TOKYO 2020 Olympics officially begin on the 23rd of July with the opening ceremony, so the programme officially comes to an end. However, Cleveland District State HS and TSUDA GAKUEN JSHS have had a strong bond and we believe that this very remarkable global connection lasts a long time.
