\nOur 1st-year students of Senior Secondary connected with Cleveland District State High School Year 10 via a web conferencing tool, Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, using their Chromebook.<\/p>\n

\nUsing their learning language, CDSHS\u2019s Y10:Japanese as a Foreign Language, our Y10:English as a Foreign Language, we did an hour conversation and talking on ‘Favourite leisure’, ‘Thoughts about the Olympics and impact of COVID-19’, and ‘What Olympic sport they are looking forward to seeing’. This was exceedingly exciting and we are extremely fortunate to have EdTech and resources to take advantage of the experience.<\/p>\n

\nThrough AOC \u201cTOMODACHI 2021\u201d Programme, we could have opportunities to showcase and touch their willingness to communicate and global mindset.
\nThe interactions got their foreign language learning genuine, deepened the enjoyment of global communication.<\/p>\n

\nThe TOKYO 2020 Olympics officially begin on the 23rd of July with the opening ceremony, so the programme officially comes to an end. However, Cleveland District State HS and TSUDA GAKUEN JSHS have had a strong bond and we believe that this very remarkable global connection lasts a long time.<\/p>\n
